Happy Birthday card.....

our family has lots of December birthdays and my dear Husband is one of them...he is an avid record collector so of course the card is themed.....

we had a lovely day visiting a record shop in Northallerton and having afternoon tea in Betty's there....

Happy birthday card

my great niece was 7 on christmas eve...and every year she insists that we all go for a family meal to the chinese....so this is the card I made for her...to go along with her present of an LOL pet hamster.....
She is all about pink this little girl so the card is very pink.....

well I sure think he is cute .....I really love this stamp and die set from MFT....you will have seen a few cards made from it this year and I expect that I'll be using it again next year.....

I was a bit naughty and bought this stamping up set when it came out.....its just so much fun....

the background is made with a Lisa Horton die and lots of glitter.....Santa's is stamped and cut out with the matching die....coloured with copics.....a bit of matting and layering and a quick card  made....and great fun to make ...

Sundays christmas card...

I am all finished making my cards for christmas at last ......

this one was made using the paper boutique die...Deck the Halls....the image is a daisy Mae one from the hobby house from last year....and the sentiment is a tonic die...great fun to make.....
My visitors have gone home now and the house feels very empty without them....still lots to do for christmas .....

its been busy here...

I have been really busy putting up my christmas decorations ready for some friends visiting for a pre christmas get me into the christmas spirit few days.....well I think we managed that...3 days of non stop christmas visits...Nunnington Hall...1920 christmas....Lincoln cathedral and castle....and an antiques centre...then Harwood House to a magical christmas dream....
I am now settling down to doing the washing.....and a bit of therapeutic coloring

made using the Hobby art set Santa's Reindeer bought a few years ago and never used....and inspiration taken from their pinterest page.....
lots and lots of glitter...a fun card.

just playing...

I still have lots of started projects to finish up and this is the one for today......

when I first bought this tattered lace poinsettia 3D decoupage set I printed off lots of the different coloured sets and made them up..and as you do put them in a bag for later ....so now I am determined to use them.....
The background is Kraft cut with Tim Holtz mixed christmas media die....matted onto red card....the sentiment is also Tim Holtz....

a little while back I had a day making backgrounds ...so now it is time to start using some of them.....

distressed oxides..a splog of water to faux bleach...and then run through Sue Wilsons snowfall embossing folder and sanded back a bit.....
the die cut is Sharyn Sowell...building a snowman...from last years release..Sue Wilson stitched rectangles and sentiment and Sheena's snowflake corner.....

playing with fluffy stuff

I recently found a really old bottle of woodware fluffy stuff...tried it out and it still worked so I thought it would look good on the tops of the stockings on my elf card.....

the stamps and dies are My Favorite things....Santa's Elves ..and are one of my favorite purchases of this year.....so easy to colour with my copics...the background is a Bee crafty stencil.....

a bubble card....

I bought this tonic set when it came out in July or August and had put it to one side ...time to get to grips and play......

I have to admit it took a bit of working out which combination of dies cut which layer  but at least next time I will know ....not one for posting as the bubble for the shaker card is really deep...
the die is Tonic ...winter spruce and the lovely little baubles come from a Marianne designs set CR1384 which I have been using a lot this year....

loving these 3D embossing folders

I really don't make enough use of my embossing folders and this past few months have been on a bit of a mission to use them......

they are both from creative expressions ....the first one I have used glitter kiss fire red on and the second one has creative expressions fern metallic gilding polish on...the die cuts are all Sue Wilsons dies.....I had fun playing with these...a bit different for me.....
I am feeling much better now and have only the rest of this week on doing very little and by then the ribs should be healing.....its been really frustrating but at least I have finished off all my half made projects.

my favorite LOTV image....

another of my cello bag stash that I am completing ...I seem to have cut out two of everything for this card and put it to one side...so its now made up and ready for this years christmas posting.....

the image and backing paper are both LOTV....the die is Amy Designs..Wintertide and the sentiment tattered Lace....silver,blue and white....one of my favorite colour combinations.....

clearing up stuff on my desk.....

I often start a project and then for some reason stuff it all in a cello bag and put it to one side....do you do that?...well I have decided that since I can do much cutting ect I had better revisit some of these bags and finish them up into a card....

I had done everything except the sentiment.....and the nuvo drops...
the embossing folder is crafters companion,the die Sue Wilson and the poinsettia are heartfelt creations....

yes actually cutting into last years St Nichols paper pad......and doing lots of fussy cutting

the only reason I actually cut into it was I have just bought this years collection Christmas magic and realised I haven't even opened up this collection....so now I have started.......

birthday cards....

always need card for my stash and these ones are on a more masculine theme.....lucky I had done all the die cutting before my fall...I just had to stick them all together..

made with Tonic die sets....Rivoli and Vanity....both bought ages ago and now at last seen a die cutting machine...this no spend is doing me so much good and making me get on and use stuff...going to try all through November as well.......

trick or treat...

we don't get a lot of callers here as we are in a tiny little close of 9 houses and the trend these days seems to be to have Halloween parties either at the school or at friends houses.....I just do a couple of treat boxes for the children over the road....

I made these with the Tonic treat box...Tonic haunted house insert and tonic sentiments....

feeling frustrated.....

I have had a fall and cracked a rib so am on light duties...so card making is restricted to colouring and cutting by hand......still its made me get out some super Hobby Art stamps I have had for years and not inked up yet...I have used inspiration from their pinterest page and made a couple of cards....

the first image is from Christmas Robins and the second from Berries and birds    .......all coloured with copics....

this is a card made using the magic windows slide and reveal set by Angela Poole..yes I got sucked into the selly telly when it was on and bought the set ....so both images are on the one card and the little tabis to slide to the next picture....and I thought both images were just right for the challenge

an autumnal card for uncle Mark....

my dear old uncle is now very poorly and so I thought this my just cheer him up.....

this is one of the paper Boutique dies which I cut out in cream and then coloured all the individual elements with copic pens... and then use nuvo drops for the berries....the sentiment is a tonic die....

found my brusho's......

having a tidy up in my room and lo and behold I found my missing brusho's so I have been having a play......

so i spritzed bit of card and did a bit of shaking.....that emerald green goes such lovely shades....when it was dry I embossed the card and added a few die cuts....Sharyn Sowell...holiday...matted and layered...the sentiment is a tonic die....

I have never tried making one of these bow cards before so I thought I would give it a go...so my first attempt after watching several youtube videos....

I have a box of papers I have printed out to test colours and so I thought I would use some of these as a try out....all from pink pettycoat....a few heartfelt die cuts and some pre made flowers.....next time I will remember to distress all the edges before I make it up!.....but not bad for a first attempt...now to make a box to send it in.....

Robins at christmas

I have to admit that Robins are my favorite bird and I do tend to feature them a lot in my cards....

on this card I have used a paper boutique die ...with nuvo drops for berries and the Robin and backing papers are craftwork cards.....the foliage dies are tattered lace and Tim Holtz....a bit of distress ink and another card made....
I hope you have nearly finished making your christmas cards....I have had so much fun this year...

I am still being good and not buying from selly telly....so using some of the stuff in my room is proving interesting...how you forget what you have!....

this no buying has really made me look at all the stuff I have bought and not used yet.....I am going to continue through October ...yes really I am!

as you will guess I watched Sue Wilson when she was on Hochanda last weekend and as I had already bought most of the stuff I thought I would have a go and make a couple of cards based on the samples on the show...made by Beverley Fuchs a really talented lady over in America that is on Sue's design team...so thank you Beverley for the inspiration to get the embossing folders and dies out and make some cards!

this one was definitely for me as some years ago I bought some lovely sheep stamps and now I can use them......

the first one I did a bit of decoupage on and the second I had found my fluffy stuff from years ago and it still works....so a bit of fun and I have the perfect recipients in mind for the card.....

Elves have taken over my craft room.....

well I have been very good this month and have not bought anything from selly telly....its made me root around my craft room and I found lots of great stamp set that I have bought and not used.....

I have had so much fun playing with these stamps and dies...I made a booboo on the first card as I had stamped in versamark and then coloured with alcohol markers....silly me...anyway I did a fresh set for the second card.......

well two cards.... as I started out with the grey one and then tried this lovely woodware stamp in blue as well....I just loved the lino cut look ...it reminded me of school.....

A special day...

today my hubby and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary....goodness I cannot believe it....where have all the years gone but I can report that they have certainly been happy ones and long may they continue....
We are having a few days away so I am scheduling my posts ...

I am still on my no Selly Telly spending in September and still have not given in to anything ... so feeling very pleased with myself....but I am on the naughty step having put in an order for some stamping up stuff....
My card is made with a crafters companion 3D embossing folder and a 2016 Sue Wilson Angel die...which until now has been laying forgotten....the sentiment is a tonic die....
